Successful public listing of my Invidious server
Part of the process when making my Invidious instance was to eventually put it in the public list of instances, since I rarely ever published or talked about the stuff I do beyond what I am already familiar with. This allowed me to make a public server that people could actively use and gives people more options.
When I made the compose file, which is now like 500 lines, I really just aimed to customize it because customization is fun and to make it fast. On my daily computer, regular YouTube is slow. I usually end up using my TV or something. Plus, using it has gotten worse over time. I was a premium user, but I stopped paying, and I forgot how many ads there were. I understand people already had public instances, but this was my cool way of providing back to something I had used for a while.

Come check out Invidious!
I made a public Invidious instance anyone can use. It’s not perfect, I am still working on some parts and I can’t guarantee it will always work, but I hope it proves useful.

Why I purchased this aging Apple device
I really wanted an Apple TV after being introduced to it from various product reviews, as I was astounded of how great an experience it was to use one. It was consistently recommended as the top of the line streaming device, with the same hardware as an iPhone making it generally pretty fast for most TV focused applications. I just love the idea of the Apple TV. It was integrated with the services I already used, which was just another benefit. It can be a FaceTime or Photos app viewer, a Home Hub for outside access to your smart home and many more other useful features, except, I wasn’t trying to use the top of the line.

Extending the life of an older computer
I personally used Windows less when I got a Mac, I was so used to the experience that I really never maintained a Windows computer that was running non-stop outside of the occasional new software or problem that needed fixing. This left an unsupported computer running a very old version of Windows 11. After the end of life for Windows 10, I realized how big an issue it was. After successfully getting ESU for a different Windows 10 laptop, I thought the process wouldn’t be that hard.

Your Xbox 360 can run homebrew apps!
With the advent of an exploit kind of thing called Bad Update, any Xbox 360 can run software that you want. Sadly there isn’t much homebrew and this isn’t a permanent hack. So, why not test what you can run by using a PS1 emulator?
The first steps are complicated but it involves running a game and then a sort of file interjects itself into the game when you boot it up. However this file, even though it does work and gets through the security layer or whatever, is still based on a race condition so it could work first try or it could not until a couple attempts at least within the span of 20 minute sessions

Rooting my old tablet
For my first post, I simply wanted to share an interesting thing I did. Today, I rooted my Android tablet and it wasn’t the first time. This Lenovo tablet is quite simple. The processer can be slow and not much works on it beyond watching things. It’s pretty good for watching things but it’s certainly not the best screen I’ve ever seen. What some may find interesting is the Dolby Atmos equalizer which is simply an application which changes some EQ, as least that’s what it sounds like, to match what you’re currently using your tablet for. Like, changing it to dynamic or music mode. I assume it’s doing something but maybe it’s just a simple way to attract more people to buy it because the assume the speakers will be quality. They’re fine in reality. It comes with a stand which charges via micro USB. The few times I do remember using it, it was for simple stuff like playing a game through Parsec or watching a movie.
